Beekeeping, also known as apiculture, is a sustainable agricultural practice that holds substantial potential for improving the livelihoods of small-scale farmers in Kenya. Apiculture aligns with both economic empowerment and environmental conservation, offering a dual benefit of income generation and ecosystem preservation. The Mango Tree Orphan Support Trust proposes the introduction and support of beekeeping as a viable intervention to uplift the economic status of small-scale beekeepers while contributing positively to environmental sustainability.
