Paul Haslam profile

“I am an accredited professional coach with a wealth of business and coaching experience (over 5000 hours). My specialist expertise is career development (I work extensively with graduating MBA students), outplacement and the first hundred days of a new (senior) appointment, although I coach across the whole range of Executive Coaching issues. My approach is to be client centered and completely flexible; with the client, setting the agenda from the initial chemistry meeting.

As a coach I may switch roles to serve the client better, moving from Coach to Challenger to Cheerleader to Confidant.  At all times, I have the client’s best interests in mind and will hold them to account for any decisions made. I seek to Bring Clarity and Pace to business and personal change.

I am currently following up my research in to the first 100 days of a new appointment where I discovered that only 50% of senior appointments last more than a year. This has got to be emotionally (and financially) costly to the individual and the company. There must be a better way of setting people up for success.

In order to keep myself relevant to modern business I also provide management consultancy predominantly, but not exclusively, to retailers. I have a track record of project achievement built upon former role as merchandising director with Poundstretcher, the UK’s original value store brand.

I tutor and supervise business projects on the prestigious Manchester Business School MBA Programme”
